Sara is a beautiful doll. There are a few reasons I would like her. My sister is Sara and my daughter is Evelyn Sarah, so the name strikes a cord. Additionally, I am a student midwife in the UK and keep coming across hurdles with trying to help women visualise their own bodies and birth experience. The doll will help me do that.
Eight years ago I was bullied into having a csection that I didn't want... and later discovered that I didn't even need. It took me a long time to grieve the violation that was that birth and over the next 4 years my daughter watched as I read and researched throughout two more pregnancies in order to achieve a natural birth! (Both my boys were born at home!) My little c-section baby has been steeped in birth culture and has even gotten to see a couple of births! Last week I finished my doula certification and when my certificate arrived she said, "Good! Now you can take me to go help Mamas have their babies!" I love that my little c-section baby is so geared toward natural childbirth!

I do NOT love that it is so hard to find dolls that send a healthy message in regards to birth and parenting. I am constantly hiding bottles and pacifiers that dolls come with and I have often wondered why those accesories are necessary. I love the MamAmor dolls because they send such a natural, healthy message about pregnancy and motherhood.
I would love to use Sara as a way to help explain birth to my son--she's beautiful!

I just had a baby and I know that my older kids would LOVE something like this to play with while I nurse the baby. I want them to grow up knowing that breastfeeding is normal and natural and that they will grow up to nurse their own babies. It would be awesome to have a doll like this to pass down to the next generations! :)
I would love Sara because she is utterly beautiful & I hope she will add to our family memories to inspire my sons to appreciate the beauty & wonder of pregnancy, birth & breastfeeding...I would love to grow old & see them share her with their own wives & children in time. Sara is simply gorgeous & I would also want to share her with the women & children I encounter at my yoga classes, childbirth preparation classes & breastfeeding support. She would be well-loved by many for a long time...<3

OH my goodness the many reasons one would want a beautiful doll such as Sara. I am a doula, breastfeeding Councillor and an aspiring midwife. I have 2 children who I love to teach about the beauty of birth and the close relationship of mama and baby. Infact my son was present at the birth of his sister and cut the cord. At 4 he knew all about the placenta, umbilical cord and the birth process. My now 2 year old daughter, who yes still nurses, would love to have a doll to play midwife. Actually my 6 year old son pretended to be a midwife and deliver my daughter from underneath my gown the other night. Amy Rickard

I think the doll is lovely and I love your work. The Mama and the baby look like my daughter. I happen to be of mixed ethnicities and I'm half Black. My daughter, Aster, doesn't have a baby doll yet. I also like that her hair kinda looks like locs, which I have.

Well, I've just recently started my doula training and I believe she would be a fantastic tool to show women and their families how birth works. I am especially interested in her for the purpose of educating children.

So difficult to publish from iPhone! I have been trying to do it since yesterday. I hope to win this beautiful doll Sara for me and also my daughter: she would love it so much!
And would have her new home in Italy!!!

It fills my heart to see how many beautiful women contribute to the making of Sara. My little angel is nearly three and really starting to take interest in babies. I wanted a doll for her birthday that supported breastfeeding (so many come with a bottle). Sara is the perfect doll to encourage and teach Zoë about natural motherhood. She will also connect her to a global community of natural mothers, with the story of how and who made her. What a wonderful toy!

I would love to have Sara for several reasons. I would love to have a MamAmor doll for my 2.5 year old to normalize birth and make it a part of regular life, and also prepare her for her hopefully-soon-to-be-conceived sibling. Plus, my daughter's middle name is Sara, so winning this doll would be extra special. And she looks a lot like me--red hair, green eyes, hippie dress. :) And we love MamAmor for their craftsmanship and company ethics. Thanks for the opportunity!

I would love your doll because it is beautiful and I could use it to teach my doula clients, childbirth prep students and their children. I also think my 2 year old would enjoy it to better demonstrate the work that I do.

Our family would love to have Sara because we are very open about nudity, body parts, sex, birth, and breastfeeding. We have several kids books about these subjects but it would be fantastic to have a doll for demonstration. I always wanted one of these for my daughter (and all future kids) but cannot afford one. I planned to make one for our family when I got pregnant with our second child. This may be our only chance to have the real thing. We would love to give Sara a home!

I would love to give Sara to my youngest child Indira who is our only daughter.
She was born at home and is still breastfed at 27 months old.
Our boys have all had the opportunity to experience birth and breastfeeding but since she is our last child, she will miss out on that. With this doll, we can share and talk about it whenever she wants!

Thank you for the chance to win Sara!
We would love to have Sara ~ have breastfed & co-slept with all nine of my kids... youngest four were home-birthed.. having Sara would be such a positive for them because I know the older ones understood but this would be so great to have when talking to the younger ones about when they were born and about them being breastfed and all...
would also be a great blessing to have such a beautiful doll made by such an amazing group of women from all over ~
thanks again for this chance!

I´d love to have Sara because I have a 2 year old girl who loves dolls and anything that seems little as a baby, (little stones, bugs, leaves, even my nipples...) I can´t find a breastfeeding doll, and I think she´ll love to play with Sara and her baby. My girl is still breastfeeding too! :)

My daughter Stella has been in love with your beautifully crafted dolls since she first set her eyes on them. Although they are worth every penny and beyond such a purchase is sadly not in my budget. I breast fed Stella until she was 2 and 1/2, it was such a lovely and natural time. I feel that my opportunity to breast feed Stella not only gave her strength but absolutely strengthened the bond we have together. When we look at your dolls and the obvious love you put in them we are reminded of that time in our life that is so precious. What a powerful talent you have! Stella turns 9 on Oct 2, she's growing up so fast! I can't think of a better way to show her how treasured she is. Thanks for your beautiful dolls!

My daughter Scarlett and I would love to have Sara in our home! Scarlett is 2 1/2 and no longer breastfeeds, though she pretends to on a regular basis. She also enjoys breastfeeding her baby dolls, and stuffing them into her shirt. It would be so great to share this doll with her. She loves learning about anatomy, and even tells people that when she eats her food goes to her tummy and then her colon! It would be wonderful for her to see and be able to "play" birth with Sara.

I would love to win Sara for my three year old daughter and she loves babies. I think the doll is a positive mothering message for little girls. I breastfed, homebirthed and carried my babies in slings so would love my daughters to be able to play with the MamAmor dolls.

we would love to have sara and introduce our son to your amazingly beautiful dolls...and because it's taken almost a week for us to be able to enter this contest :)

I would love to win the beautiful Sara doll because, she is an amazing way to help children understand childbirth, and an all-around cool doll in general. I love the obvious hard work and craftmanship put into each doll, and they have the best hair!!!
I really felt in love with your dolls! I need to win Sara because she is the symbol of the things that I believe and defend as a Mom. I conquered a natural/humanizated birth for my son, Antonio (here in Brazil there's an INDUSTRY of cesareans); I had to fight to give him my breast; and I become so in love with babywearing philosophy that I started to produce my own slings, from mom to mom (see it here -- www.casulinho.com.br)

Sara will be cherished as the treasure she is.

Hugs from Brazil! Mariana

I would love to adopt Sara and give her a home as I have the honour of being a doula to many woman who have previous children and this is showing birth and breastfeeding in a child accessible way.

I am also the mom of five and although my two oldest have been at the birth of their beautiful younger brothers, its a refresher to see (and show their friends) about the normalcy of birth.

I also think she is beautiful and would love to give her a treasured place in my home! She is truly special!

Today i noticed this giveaway and i had a strong feeling. The feeling that i wish badly to have this doll for my 2 years and 5 months daughter, named Sarah. I wish she could have thi doll to always remember her of my love for her. We both have green eyes, as the doll and her baby has. This is us. Me having a natural birth, wearing my daugher in a sling or mei thai, still brestfeeding. I just wish that keeping this doll , till she will be a mother, she will know how to be a great loving mother to her children, and give the doll further to her children! The doll has two choices:

1. I have a daughter, who takes any of her dolls and breastbeeds in public, anywhere, when "her doll wants" :) would be beautiful to give Sara as a birthday present in winter, showing that we are not alone, who breastfeed :)

or

2. I am glad to be one of the member of Attachment Parenting Centre in Lithuania. My child plays a new toy several days a week, but in this centre there come many more children, pregnant women and this doll could be a symbol for this centre on it's birthday too :) If we gave Sara to this center, that would be the best present for my daughter and even my son, which would tell, that we share our presents with wonderful people and can feel the joy :P

We would absolutely LOVE for Sara to join our family. She portrays such a strong, beautiful woman...that we are all capable of being! Thank you so much for this opportunity!

Sara reminds me of my mother! So much! Sadly mum has chosen to no longer be a part of mine or my 7 yr daughters lives (due to her strong fundamental religious beliefs.) I love my mother dearly and it was she who blessed me with an understanding of the power and magic of childbirth and the importance of breastfeeding. My little one independantly pointed out the resemblance and I couldnt help but reflect on how wonderful it would be to have Sara live with us - a symbolic and tangible connection between three generations of beautiful women!

i have no idea if my comment why I would like sarah went through, I tried to do it on my phone, but I subscribed to your news letter as well. I would love sarah, she is a lovely doll. I have two little ones and would like to use her as an educational tool for them and my future babies. I have admired these dolls for quite a while, but I know at this time I cannot afford one, it would actually be a long time before I could, we just dont have the extra money. These are so awesome and i love the diversity.

As a breastfeeding mother of two I think this doll is just all sorts of AWESOME. My preschooler is already exhibiting the traits of breastfeeding her barbie dolls because it is what she see me doing with her little sister. This doll is such a wonderful concept, allowing children (especially young girls) to learn about where babies come from, the birthing process and breastfeeding without the complexity of the whole birds and the bee's concept.
The creativity, natural elements and originality of these beautifully crafted dolls are a sure hit. As a stay at home mom of two, I unfortunately cannot afford to purchase one of these dolls, BUT I sure hope I have the pleasure of owning one of these beautifully crafted dolls if I win! :)

#Fingerscrossed!

We want Sara because my cousin and I, who are like sisters, have two little girls within a year of eachother. Both are growing up breastfed, but my daughter, at 15mo, is already starting to notice that it isn't normal for people in our area. Sara would be the perfect friend and teacher to help normalize something that shouldn't be such an oddity in our family, and help our girls grow into confident, natural mamas themselves some day.

Motherhood is a journey for each of us, and I think we are all deserving. I did originally type up some sob story about my struggle with infertility and having to pump for the first 4 months of my sons life (and we are now totally on the boob--yeay!... but I realize that my support group for helping me get through all this are the ones who are deserving. One of our ladies is becoming a LC and doula. I would love to pass this doll on to her to put in her new location as a source of inspiration for her and her clients.

We'd love to have Sara for our three girls. I've taught them a lot about birth and nursing. Having a mamamor doll would just add so much to that. We've been wanting to get a custom family ordered, but unfortunately haven't had the means to pay for even a pre-made doll yet.

I want to win Sara because I love how these dolls are handmade and the wonderful message they bring to kids and I love toys like this for my kids. Even if I dont win Sara I will eventually be buying one because I love these dolls. Thank you for you wonderful dolls!

I want Sara bc I want to teach my children the importance of breastfeeding and its beauty. In the USA, we have issues with nursing in public, and I want my children's generation to grow up thinking it's beautiful and natural, not gross or sexual. My son, Ethan (2 years old), already tries to nurse his puppy like mommy nurses Caden, his little brother (2 months old). I would also love to have Sara for educational purposes, with positioning and techniques as I pursue teaching natural child birth classes. I haven't begun teaching yet, but plan on becoming certified next year when the next certification course is offered. I also want Sara bc she is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Sara is such a beautiful inspiration to all things natural. I am a chapter leader for my local chapter of Birth Network National as well as a cloth diaper retailer. Sara is a PERFECT mascot for both. As well as a great Christmas present to my greatest breastfeeding supporter, my son. Fanned you on FB.

I am, and have been a friend on fb for a long while now- I am going to share this on my page, and i really hope i win- because i really cant afford to buy this doll for my daughter right now...but these dolls are so neat for teaching breastfeeding and birthing as well as attachment parenting- all of which we practice with our daughter. I think this doll would be great to share with my doula or lactation clients as well as my photography clients. thanks! :0)

My best friend Sara is expecting her first baby and is truly terrified of giving birth. I would love to be able to give this to her.

I would love to win Sara because she is BEAUTIFUL! I would love to share this doll with my daughter. I love knowing where each part of sarah and her outfit came from, this is so different to a doll you buy commercially. I love the attention to detail placed in every loving stitch. And of course I love the opportunity to open up a conversation with my daughter about birth and breastfeeding. We are an open family, and want these topics to be addressed honestly, and as a normal part of life. I also work as a birth doula, and could bring Sarah along to help connect older children to the experience their mom is going through as she get ready to birth and breastfeed a new baby.

I would love to have Sara for my two kids and niece to play with. I think it is very important to be honest about how babies are made and born. This doll is so unique and beautiful!!

Sara would occupy a revered position in our house of 3 small children because she's a perfect example of the way babies *should* be born, whenever possible. We have fought the battle of my very young daughter thinking that babies are born only by being cut out of their mommies' tummies in a hospital by a doctor, and I'd love to show all of our children what that looks like. And I think that Sara's body would be a much better teaching tool than mine! :D What a beautiful doll!

I want to win SARA because I want to give my little girl a beautiful Christmas present that also will help her understand where she and her siblings came from. My daughter has entered into a wonderful phase of life where she loves babies, dolls and being a mom and I would love to encourage and educate her in natural birth and breastfeeding.

I am posting this via my husband as for whatever reason I was not able to post to this site from home. My Facebook email address is abu_1000@hotmail.com and the Facebook name is Micah Amy Cary.

Just yesterday, in an box with old box, a forgotten picture of my carrying my Zack in a sling when he was still a baby. Today, I logged into my face book and started reading about 'How to win Sara', when Zack entered, saw the photo of Sara and questioned about it. Suddenly he left the room and returned with the picture of me carrying him. He couldn't believe when I said that the dolly's name were also so Sara! So I said that I'd everything I could to Win to a Sara for him! I'm Sara, a doula who love encourage mothers to carry their babies in the sling, mother of Zack (5) and Max (3), who loved to be carried in my sling and love to play with all their dollies. We'd love to have Sara! Thank Mamamor ;)

The reason why I want Sara is because I think these dolls give birthing, breastfeeding, and baby wearing such style and class. Coming from an area where the majority of women feel sheltered when it comes to birthing the way they want, shamelessly breastfeeding their babes, or even correctly wearing their babe, it is a breath of fresh air to see something so unique as Sara to bring women of all kinds and all walks of life together and connect on a feminine level. Sara represents to me the closeness I have and cherish with my two daughters, which is something I want to pass on to them when they become mothers to their own babies. It also represents a sense of womanhood and I feel as though each and every MamAmor Doll carries that with it to whomever it encounters.
It is not important to me to win Sara but I do hope by expressing what Sara means to me other women see this and have the same frame of mind as me.

My little man is 21 months old, and will become a big brother the month he turns 2. He loves cuddling "babies" (live ones and dolls!), and would adore this beautiful doll and her baby too. We will have a homebirth, which he will be present for, and I would love for him to have a doll that we can play with and demonstrate birthing before the big event. With this doll, he would also be able to mimic Mommy & Daddy breastfeeding and babywearing after the new baby arrives, helping him to feel included. :D
I have to admit, the first time I saw pictures of your dolls, I was in tears at how beautiful they are. What a wonderful contribution to the world, keep up the amazing work!

Sara means princess, and who wouldn't feel like a princess upon winning her in a draw. I would love to incorporate Sara into my birth bag as I am a student midwife in Canada. Your dolls are truly beautiful and I would love to win Sara.

I would love to win Sara. Like most folks, my family doesn't have a lot of extra money lying around. I just adore these dolls, nothing else like them. I'm a new mother with a 7 month old daughter, we breastfeed. I really want Sara for her. Also, I believe it would be a great learning tool for that all important question, when that time comes, "where do babies come from?"
