Ah, finally I am able to comment! yay! I would love the opportunity to win one of your beautiful dolls. As a doula I appreciate all that you stand for and your stive to educate the world on birth. As a mother I prefer to provide honest education about our bodies with my children. I would love one of your dolls not only for myself :) but my three daughter's who I'm sure would love her too!Not to mention that I believe that each person who see's her, will have their eyes opened to what birth really is. Even if it's just a little, that thought is in their head now, and who knows what change could come from that in the future!

I love the uniqueness of your dolls. They aren't plastic, cookie cutter dolls.

My favourite thing about MamAmor Dolls is definitely the fact that they normalize birth and breastfeeding! They show the value of something that is so distorted and undermined in our society. A true antidote to Barbie!

Your dolls are true works of art. I would love one for my son (yes, I said son). He is only 3 years old but knows the name of the amazing midwife who caught him and understands (on a 3yo level) his beautiful birth story. This doll would be a wonderful way to help him better visualize what he already knows.

She’s beautiful :) I’d love to give her to my nearly 7 year old daughter for Christmas. She was breast fed till she was 4. She always nurses her toys. This would just be perfect for her :) I love her hair too... my daughter doesn’t have dreads, (pretty much always twists and cane row in our house) but she loves ‘em and wants some when she’s older. Finally, as a doula, she’d be a lovely prop to ‘borrow from my duaghter’ to show clients. Fingers crossed. I’ll share on facebook and twitter to :)
Unknown said…
Would love one for my daughters.

I thought i’d just ‘entered’ here, but can’t see it, so i case i hit the wrong button, i’ll do it again :) Joy is beautiful. I’d love her for the joy in my life, my daughter Luna. She’d love her. And i’d love her too ;) and so would my doula clients who i’d show her too. What beautiful celebrations of natural birth and feeding you create. Fabulous!!

I love how they show beautiful, real looking women. And as a midwife, I love how they honor some of the great mysteries of women's bodies!
I am a sling maker and a Mom that gave birth to her son naturally. I really love your dolls and I feel the love and care you put on them, in every little detail. :)

I have bought 2 dolls - one I gave away to my friend Nicola. Her name was Sally - my other doll is called after my gran Thomasina and I love her. Living in Dubai I have used my doll in many occasions especially when telling siblings about mum having a new baby and what will happen when the baby comes home. This doll is called Joy - my mums name, my mum was my inspiration to go into midwifery - she was a midwife, her sister (my god mother) is also a midwife. I always loved to go to work with mum. I loved hospitals and caring for people for a long long time and a very young age. I would love to win Joy and I know a very special midwife who I would give her to x x

I have had 2 of your dolls - one I gave away to my friend and my first doula partner - Nicola. I kept the other doll and use it in my doula work. One of the most amazing ways to use the doll is in explaining to siblings that there is going to be another baby in the house and if there is a home birth how the baby will be born. I love Joy that is my mums name and she was a great inspiration to me going to university to become a midwife. Joy to the world the angels sang let earth declare his name........love it x x

My favourite thing about MamAmor dolls is definitely how they so organically normalize breastfeeding and birth. They teach the value of something so distorted and undermined in our society - a woman's innate ability to carry, birth and feed her child. The ultimate antidote to barbie!
